Blood Wedding

by Federico García Lorca

Directed by Danielle Fauteux Jacques

with Apollinaire Theatre

Performed at Port Park in Chelsea, MA

June-July 2015

Our version of Blood Wedding was a site specific piece. The existing steel structures in the park worked in favor of our idea for a cold, rigid and traditional society that Lorca has depicted. When we are introduced to the woodcutters and supernatural characters in the play, their costumes are much more earthy with rich reds, greens and browns. The coolest was Death's coat that flipped inside out.

Thank you DFJ and Chip - for having me on board with one peek at my portfolio during a job fair. And Susan Paino for being such an inspiration in your ideas, patience, assistance and guidance - I would've been lost without you.
